1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. No individual under the age of 18 may use the Services or provide us with any personal information. If we become aware that an individual under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to remove the data and delete that individual's account.
You represent and warrant that all information you provide in connection with your use of the Services is true, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge, and that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
2. Your Account
When you create an Oktant account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for:
- Creating only one account for your own personal use and not sharing your account with others.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Notifying us immediately at [email protected] of any actual or suspected unauthorized use of your account.
You can delete your account data at any time in the app by navigating to: Profile → Account Settings → Delete User Data. Account deletion is irreversible — once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
3. Changes to Services and Terms
We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, including adding or removing features, changing prices, or requiring software updates. We are not liable to you for any such changes.
Oktant reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you in advance of any material changes. By continuing to use the Services after notification, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If the updated Terms are not acceptable to you, please stop using the Services and delete your account.
4. Content Ownership
Oktant Content
All content made available through the Services — including designs, graphics, text, software, algorithms, quest templates, resonance frameworks, and their selection and arrangement ("Oktant Content") — is the sole property of Oktant and/or its licensors. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Oktant Content without our express written permission.
Your Content
You own the personal data you provide through the Services, including your quest logs, reflections, journal entries, resonance scores, and profile information ("Your Content"). By using the Services, you grant Oktant a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the Services.
We will not use Your Content in a manner inconsistent with our Privacy Policy. Your personal resonance data, reflections, and journal entries are kept private within the ecosystem and are not shared with other users, including crew members.
Feedback
We appreciate feedback, suggestions, and ideas for improvements to the Services. Any feedback you provide may be used by Oktant without obligation to you.
5. Premium Subscriptions
We offer premium versions of the Services ("Premium Services") for a fee. Premium Services provide access to enhanced content, features, and functionality.
Billing & Auto-Renewal
By subscribing to Premium Services, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscription fees are billed automatically at the start of each billing period (monthly or annual) through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store ("App Provider"). Your subscription will auto-renew unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Provider (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to Premium Services until then. When your subscription ends, your account reverts to a free tier.
⚠️ Important:
- Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through your App Provider.
- Deleting your account may not cancel your subscription. Always cancel your subscription separately through the App Store or Google Play Store.
Free Trials
We may offer free trials of Premium Services. If you choose not to upgrade during the trial, your subscription will revert to the free version. All your quests and rites will be maintained but marked as abandoned, allowing you to choose which to resume within the free tier limits. You may upgrade at any time to resume where you left off. You may not sign up for more than one free trial at the same time.
Refunds & Price Changes
All purchases of Premium Services are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or at our sole discretion. Refund ability may be restricted by App Providers. We may change Premium Service pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
6. Not Professional Advice
The Services are provided for general informational and personal development purposes only. Oktant is not a licensed professional service of any kind — including psychological, therapeutic, career, financial, or medical — and does not provide professional advice.
Use of the Services does not create any professional-client, therapist-patient, or advisory relationship between you and Oktant. The guidance, insights, and resonance data provided through the Services should not be interpreted as a substitute for professional consultation, evaluation, or treatment.
If you are experiencing mental health challenges, please seek the advice of a qualified professional. You should never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of any content presented through the Services.
We make no representations or warranties as to the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of any content available through the Services. Resonance scores, quest suggestions, and other content are tools for self-reflection and should be evaluated using your own judgement.
7. Usage Restrictions
The Services may be used only for lawful purposes. You may not:

If you access the App through the Apple App Store, additional terms apply. Please see Section 9: Apple App Store Terms for the complete terms required by Apple. Your phone company's normal messaging, data, and other rates and fees will apply.
9. Apple App Store Terms (EULA)
The following terms apply to users who access the App through the Apple App Store. These terms are required by Apple and form part of your End-User License Agreement (EULA).

You acknowledge that this agreement is between you and Oktant only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Oktant, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Oktant App (the "Licensed Application") and its content. This agreement may not provide for usage rules that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Scope of License
The license granted to you for the Licensed Application is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Licensed Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The Licensed Application may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
Maintenance and Support
Oktant is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the Licensed Application, as specified in this agreement or as required under applicable law. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Licensed Application.
Warranty
Oktant is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the Licensed Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Licensed Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Licensed Application. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are Oktant's sole responsibility.

You acknowledge that Oktant, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and/or use of the Licensed Application, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
Intellectual Property Rights
You acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the Licensed Application or your possession and use of the Licensed Application infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Oktant, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that: (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third-Party Terms Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Licensed Application. For example, you must not violate your wireless data service agreement when using the Licensed Application.
Third-Party Beneficiary
You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
