What Are Resonance Points?
Resonance Points (RP) are the core progression system in Oktant. You earn RP by completing pulses (logging your daily rites). The system is designed to reward balance across all areas of life, not just grinding in one area.
Life Slices
Your life is divided into 8 slices. Each rite targets one or more slices, and you earn RP separately for each slice a rite targets.

The Balance Mechanic
The key insight: neglected life slices earn RP faster. Each slice has a level based on accumulated RP, and higher levels earn progressively less. This encourages you to grow in all directions rather than over-focusing on one area.

| 2 — Drifting | 1,000 – 1,999 | 2.0× |
| 3 — Stable | 2,000 – 2,999 | 1.5× |
| 4 — Growing | 3,000 – 3,999 | 1.0× |
| 5 — Thriving | 4,000 – 5,000 | 0.5× |
Once a slice reaches 5,000 RP it's maxed out. Focus your energy on the slices that still have room to grow. Remember that calibration allows you to realign your life slices whenever you need. Life happens.
Bonus RP
Beyond daily pulse RP, you can earn bonus RP:
- ●Quest Completion Bonus — a 50% bonus of the quest's total max RP when all success markers are met.
Resonance Score
Your Resonance Score is the average of all 8 slice RP values, expressed as a percentage of the maximum (5,000). It determines your character state:
- ●≥ 80% — Resonant (peak balance, green)
- ●≥ 50% — Stable (moderate balance, gold)
- ●< 50% — Dissonant (room to grow, red)
